A passion of mine has always been searching for unique fashion items specifically vintage!

Your Local Goodwill!

You would be surprised how many vintage items I have found at Goodwill. Your locate Goodwill is a great resource for find items that someone has donated. These items are typically marked under what typical sites like Poshmark or TheRealReal sell them for. You also can get an even better deal if you go on certain days. For example, Goodwill occasionally will have 50% all items - This is when you are really winning!! On these days, you need to plan on getting into the store right when they open. It can be a mad house since tons of people are after finding a good deal as well!

Goodwill online (www.shopgoodwill.com) is another avenue for finding vintage fashion pieces. The benefit to this site is that you can search for the select brands that you are looking for! This site has Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, and all other major fashion labels. The con is that you have to bid on the items and since the item is coming form Goodwill it is used and sometimes hard to find out what condition the item is in. Once you win your bid, the goodwill facility sending the item ships it to your home!

Antique Shops

I live near Chicago and have plenty of antique shops nearby! These shops are great resources to finding vintage fashion items. Typically, Antique shops contain all sorts of antiques so it can be a bit of a needle in a haystack finding that GEM, however once you do it can be so rewarding! Most antique shops have booths that can be rented out so if I find a good booth I usually visit every month to see if any new items have been added. For example, Michigan City, Indiana has a shop called, The Antique Market, and it is a gold mine for vintage fashion finds. http://theantiquemarketmc.com/tamwpr47/

Poshmark / TheRealReal

Both of these sites are similar because they both offer you the ability to search for vintage fashion items. Poshmark you are able to offer a price to the selling, which can typically work in your favor. Postmark sells all times of items from vintage to luxury, to mass brands. TheRealReal is more geared just for luxury consignment. You are usually able to use a coupon or I get a $30 credit about once a more on a purchase which is great! TheRealReal also have locations within the US where you can shop and consign.
